GOUT DISEASE

It is an acute form of arthritis that causes joint pain and inflammation. Usually affects the big toe, but it can also affect the ankle, heel, hand, wrist, and elbow. Gout is a disease caused by high levels of uric acid. Acid crystals are deposited on the cartilage of joints, tendons and surrounding tissue due to the elevated concentrations of uric acid in the blood stream which provokes an inflammatory reaction of the tissues.

Usually kidney eliminates uric acid throughout urine. When the body builds up a lot of uric acid and kidney can not eliminate it, leads to a phenomenon called hiperuricemia.
